When a student is ready for a higher-level horn, you can upgrade to a step-up instrument and keep your progress. We handle the upgrade with free shipping, your rental equity transfers, and up to 50% of the rental payments you’ve already made can apply toward ownership of the new instrument. For example, if you’ve paid $350 in rent, up to $175 may count toward owning the step-up model.

Your account doesn’t reset: up to 50% of accumulated rental payments can apply toward ownership of the new choice. Every $1 of monthly rent = $1 in credits for your program. Example: 10 rentals × $35/month × 12 months = $4,200 credits. Everything is tracked automatically.

Credits accrue monthly and follow the program year: Aug 1 – July 31. Credits expire July 31 each year (no carryover), so most programs plan redemptions in spring/summer.

You’ll receive a unique program link. Share it with families (email, QR flyer, website). When they rent through that link, your program earns credits each month they pay rent.

For rentals, just go to rentmyinstrument.com/repairs, answer a couple of short questions and you will receive a shipping label. Ship it back for free (2 days) and we will repair it same day and send it back. Turnaround time is normally a week or less, quicker than most local music stores.
